clogged tear ducts. At Marlee's 2 month checkup her pediatrician told us to get a humidifier for her congestion and nose. Well it just so happens that this is what caused her tear ducts to clog...wonderful. You're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't!!!
I am supposed to massage her ducts 4 times a day and use some drops that he prescribed incase it isn't clogged ducts. I'm glad we're on the way to recovery haha.
Ultrasound tomorrow, wish us luck!

I'm all about crafts!
Today I finally made Marlee an Easter tutu. It turned out great! And it was super easy to make, just very repetitive and time consuming. It took me about 5 hrs to complete between feedings. Here are the finished results.
I also ordered a sewing machine from walmart.com because they didn't have it in stock at any of the local stores. I cannot wait to get that in the mail! I have a lot of projects I want to do on it.
Aside from the crafts, Marlee has a doctors appointment tomorrow for her eye. Since wednesday her eyes have been watering and the right one is gooping up. Hopefully it's nothing! And on wednesday morning she has an ultrasound for her hips to make absolutely for sure nothing is wrong with them. Please keep her in your prayers!
Last but not least, while feeding my princess this evening she was having a smile fest. Here is some proof!
sleeping through the night
Marlee usually sleeps from 10pm-5am. It's really nice not having those super late night feedings. Since Monday the 22nd (after her 2 month vaccinations) she has had a crying fit usually around the same time of night. It lasts for around an hour to and hour and a half and it's exhausting. There is nothing that I can to do to help her; I just hold her and pat her back. Usually after the crying fit she passes out for a good 7 hours. The past two nights Marlee has not wanted to sleep. I know she is tired, it's to the point that her eyes are rolling back into her head, but she never gets into that deep sleep. She is fighting it whole heartedly!
Tonight is the first night in a while that Marlee has woken up for a feeding. She is fast asleep and here I am blogging...at 4:30 in the morning. I knew that being a mom I would get less sleep, but why on Earth do I stay awake when I could be sleeping?!

I have some catching up to do
As we all know, being a mom is tough work! I would love to be able to blog everyday but it isn't realistic. Everyday Marlee does something different. I love it!!
On February 24th she rolled over! Granted she hasn't done it since, so it could have been a fluke happening. Regardless I let out a yell from being so excited.
This video only shows her rolling halfway over, but it's equally as exciting.
Here is another video, in it Marlee is talking to me...another exciting moment.
On Marlee's 1 month birthday Uncle Boyfriend (my sister's boyfriend, Greg) took pictures of her. He is a photography major and wanted to build up his portfolio for school. So naturally I let him take as many as he wants (it doesn't hurt to have great pictures taken of my baby girl!). Here are some of the ones he took and edited.

On February 22nd we went for Marlee's 2 month check up and shots. She was 10.14 lbs and 21.75 inches! She's getting so big, sometimes I can't believe it. The appointment went pretty well, she is growing great, her heart and lungs sound great. The only thing her pediatrician found wrong is possible hip displasia. We went for X-rays the next day and are waiting to hear the results. Please keep her in your T&Ps!
new blog
I completely destroyed my old blog! I made a new one and imported all of my old posts to this new blog. It makes me REALLY happy that I am able to do this because I was afraid of losing everything I had documented. Now it's a matter of following everyone again!

Marlee is 2 months old!!
I cannot believe it has been two months since my precious angel was born! It honestly feels like it was yesterday. She has grown so much. She is finding her voice and smiling up a storm. I'm so so excited to see what the next month brings for us!

I am blessed to have a healthy baby
Not all people are as lucky as Scot and I. While Marlee was in the NICU I wondered constantly if she would be healthy. Were her lungs strong enough? I am so happy that everything turned out well for our child. I am so wrapped up in our daily routine that I don't thank God for the gift he has given us; a beautiful, healthy baby girl.
I hate that I take for granted these little things. I guess I get so distracted with everyday's happenings; the feedings, the burpings, the diaper changing. I am so so so very thankful for my daughter. I absolutely cannot imagine life without her, nor do I remember life before her. She is my life. This is why God put me on this earth, for her. That is just amazing.
